Musical improvisation with the Pixel Affection custom module. Built by the artist, this tool takes various 3D shapes and extracts their points, drawing lines between them that transform into waveforms to control a modular synth via control voltage. Shown is an improvisation using the tool, and included with the NFT is a download of a beta version of the code (TouchDesigner) with unique emoji button panel. MuchDesigner - Parametric Music Modules Built in TouchDesigner for Eurorack I've been researching new ways to visualise and interact with the creation of sonic waveforms in a parametric way. Diving deep into eurorack modular synths in 2022, I decided to create a system that allows for creative coding to take a major role in the sound creation process. As opposed to making a one-off audiovisual instrument just for myself, I wanted to make a set of modules in TouchDesigner that could feasibly do what might cost $1000s in physical modules, but with new twists and fun and engaging interfaces.
